On September 9, a 39-meter-long, FRP-based, oceanic ultra-low temperature tuna longline fishing boat was launched near the Dongzizi Fishing Port in the Economic and Technological Development Zone of Lushunkou District. The Longxing 801, the longest glass fiber reinforced plastic ship built by China, has created a new standard type of FRP oceanic ultra-low temperature tuna longline fishing vessel, which has led the course of the renovation and transformation of China's old steel offshore fishing vessels. On the same day, Dalian Global International Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., the naming manufacturer of the National FRP Fishing Industry Technology Development Alliance, was the “Model Base for the Construction of FRP Ocean Fishing Vessels".
Compared with similar steel ships, the ship can operate two voyages (4 years) at sea, extending the working time by 2 to 3 months and increasing annual income by 2 million to 3 million yuan. It is estimated that the fuel economy is about 35%, and the fuel consumption is about 2 million yuan per year. The ship does not need to be repaired every voyage (usually two years). It can be used once every 4 years, saving more than one million yuan.
According to Zhang Ya, deputy director of the Dalian Promotion Center of the National FRP Fishing Industry Technology Development Alliance and vice president of the School of Navigation and Shipbuilding of Dalian Ocean University, FRP fishing boats are very popular in developed countries. In Japan and South Korea, small and medium-sized fishing boats have achieved glass tempering of fishing boats, with a ratio of 98%, while less than 2% in China. The replacement of steel fishing vessels with FRP fishing vessels has become an inevitable requirement and trend for the sustainable and healthy development of fisheries. This 39-meter FRP ultra-low temperature tuna longline fishing boat, which was built by Meishan FRP Ship Design Institute and developed by Dalian Global International Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., relies on the major regional and industry major projects in the National Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Alliance. One of them - "FRP fishing boat design research and industrial chain" project. This achievement has attracted widespread attention in the industry at home and abroad. The National Fisheries Equipment Science and Technology Innovation Alliance, the National FRP Fishing Industry Technology Development Alliance, China Ocean Fisheries Association, China Fishing Vessel Fishing Gear Industry Association, Dalian Ocean University and other units held the first international conference on the technology and achievements of international FRP offshore fishing vessels in Dalian. Will jointly discuss this scientific and technological achievement.
